Crown Lengthening
Aesthetic Crown lengthening is a procedure performed to help improve a gummy smile which is also known as a Gum Lift. A gummy smile is too much gum tissue showing around your teeth while you laugh or smile.
A Gum Lift procedure can be done to a single tooth or multiple teeth. The treatment length depends on how many teeth are affected and the amount of gum and bone to be removed. Your treatment will be discussed during your consultation with Dr Paul Tsai.
In some cases, Crown Lenghtening may be necessary when there is not enough tooth structure above the gum line to support a crown. Dr Paul Tsai removes gum and recontours the bone to expose more of the tooth structure, allowing a better fit for your new crown.
